The OKR (Objectives and Key Results) methodology is a management system focused on aligning goals and measuring results. It defines a qualitative and inspiring Objective, accompanied by quantitative Key Results that indicate progress.

I created the Design System and developed high-fidelity prototypes to ensure visual consistency and ease of use. The project focused on simplifying strategic management, allowing the definition of objectives and key results to be intuitive, agile, and fully integrated into the users' workflow.

1. Context

The OKR (Objectives and Key Results) methodology is a goal-setting framework focused on aligning objectives and measuring outcomes. It defines a qualitative and inspiring Objective, accompanied by quantitative Key Results that track progress. This project centered on the design and development of a digital solution to streamline this methodology within an organizational environment.

2. Problem

The main challenge was to transform a complex strategic management framework into a functional digital tool. Many organizations struggle to track progress effectively due to fragmented data or unintuitive interfaces, which can lead to a lack of alignment between teams and the company's core vision. There was a clear need for a platform that made defining and monitoring goals agile and integrated into the daily workflow.

3. Process

  • Methodology Implementation: Structuring the software to respect the core principles of OKRs, ensuring the relationship between qualitative goals and quantitative metrics was clear.

  • Design System Development: Creation of a comprehensive Design System to ensure visual consistency across all modules of the platform.

  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: Development of detailed prototypes to test and refine complex management flows, ensuring they were intuitive for all user profiles.

  • Workflow Integration: Focusing on the user journey to ensure that updating key results felt like a natural part of the professional routine.

4. Solution

  • Strategic Management Platform: A dedicated interface for defining, visualizing, and managing OKRs at both the individual and organizational levels.

  • Intuitive Dashboard: A high-fidelity interface designed for agility, allowing users to monitor progress through clear visual indicators.

  • Standardized Design: A robust component library (Design System) that facilitates scalability and maintains a cohesive experience throughout the application.

5. Impact

  • Operational Agility: The platform simplified the strategic management process, making the definition of objectives more intuitive and faster to execute.

  • Visual Consistency: The development of the Design System reduced friction between design and engineering, ensuring a polished final product.

  • Improved Alignment: By providing a clear and integrated view of results, the solution fostered better alignment and transparency across the organization’s workflow.

6. Conclusion

This project successfully translated the strategic rigor of the OKR methodology into a fluid and high-performance digital experience. By combining a robust Design System with a user-centered prototyping process, the final solution bridged the gap between high-level company goals and daily execution. The result is a scalable management tool that empowers teams to track their impact with clarity, driving organizational growth through data-driven transparency and improved technical consistency.
