E-COMMERCE FOR A SPORTS STORE

This interface project was developed for a new sports goods brand focused on the North American market. The central objective was to combine the sector's aesthetics with a Brazilian creative vision, meeting the client's desire for an authentic and distinctive foreign design perspective.

Although the project was paused before its commercial launch, the final delivery reflects an intuitive and modern user experience. The work presented here demonstrates the balance between US and CA consumer trends and the vibrant visual identity of Brazilian design.

1. Context

This project focused on the interface design for an e-commerce platform exclusively dedicated to the sporting goods and equipment sector. The core proposal aimed to create a digital ecosystem where consumers could find a wide range of materials for various sports in a single location. The strategic goal was to develop a solution that combined modernity and convenience, offering a robust alternative to physical store visits, especially during peak periods. Although the initiative was paused prior to its official launch, all work was grounded in a UX strategy designed for business scalability.

2. Problem

The main challenge identified was the difficulty users faced in locating authentic products quickly and intuitively within a saturated market. Many interfaces in the industry fail to organize complex inventories, resulting in confusing navigation that overwhelms customers with information overload. Additionally, there was a critical need to establish a shopping environment that conveyed total trust and security, addressing the common hesitation found in digital transactions for high-performance gear. The focus, therefore, was on resolving the fragmented buyer journey and the lack of clarity in how brands and categories were displayed.

3. Process

  • UX Strategy: Definition of a buyer journey focused on ease of navigation and conversion speed.

  • Information Architecture: Catalog structuring through category-based menus (such as Soccer, Tennis, etc.) and gender segmentation to optimize search.

  • Interface Design: Creation of visual components, such as announcement bars highlighting top brands and intuitive account menus for login and personal data management.

  • Value Proposition: Integration of premium member features, including access to discounted pricing and exclusive content.

4. Solution

  • Multi-category Platform: An organized interface that allows for the rapid selection of equipment across diverse sporting disciplines.

  • Trusted Environment: A design focused on credibility, guaranteeing product authenticity and clarity regarding stock information for the customer.

  • Personalized Experience: Implementation of flows that facilitate access to account details, purchase history, and brand preferences.

This project is currently on hold. Should it be resumed, I would be honored to publish the final phase and the results achieved.
